Our client is an International trading business based in Central London, and are currently looking for business assistant to support senior managers in a team of business traders within the energy sector.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking to develop a career in the commodities trading sector, with a clear career path, and opportunity to work with very experience individuals, and either progress to a senior support role, or trading position, either in a contract or permanent role.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Profile:

*Support the General Manager and department staff for the daily work to provide Administrative, travel, and meeting-related functions in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

*Support department staff and corporate visitors in arranging travel bookings, itineraries, and hotels, for business trips.
*Support department staff for internal expense settlement using CONCUR, a unique expense management system
*Organise electronic folders, contents of cabinets, reviewing of documents.
*Help in preparation of materials and rooms etc. for meetings / seminars
*Liaise with the sales departments of EMEA & its subsidiaries
*Liaising with the Corporate Logistics Division Head office in Tokyo
*Carry out translations using English and Japanese.
*Carrying out routine weekly or monthly Customs functions (no special knowledge needed)

Key Requirements

*A professional, with a flexible approach with experience of working in a demanding office environment.
*Ability to work well under pressure and effectively implement directions.
*Well organised with the ability to prioritise and use his/her own initiative.
*Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Formulas such as V-look up, trim, if, and, or, right and left.
*Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint.
*A good team player, project coordinator, with a keen attention to detail.
*Ability to communicate effectively both via email and on the telephone.
*Fluent in Japanese and English (Written and spoken) to high standard.
*Previous experience of working in Trading, Logistics or Compliance fields would be an advantage.
*Should be educated to A Level or equivalent.
