Publishing Sales Executive - Arabic (Biological/Scientific)
Basic: £22-26,000; £40-50,000 OTE + benefits
West End, Central London
THE COMPANY
With a portfolio of nearly 200 journals my client is an independent publishing house committed to providing immediate open access to peer-reviewed biomedical research. All original research articles are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. It now requires an experienced Sales Executive with Arabic.
THE ROLE
As Sales Executive with Arabic you will sell on-line advertising, sponsorship opportunities, article reprints and journal supplement publication contracts across a range of on-line medical and life science journals and websites. Selling to the pharmaceutical, life science and related biomedical industries you will be actively developing a list of key accounts and realising new business opportunities.
Devise sales campaigns using a mix of promotional mailings, telesales and face-to-face client visits.
Working to targets and producing reports on activities and results.
DUTIES
-To achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
-To increase business.
-To maintain regular direct contact with existing customers and prospects
-To demonstrate our publishing programme, and Open Repository software to existing and potential customers.
-To prepare forecasts, sales analyses, trip reports etc and attend exhibitions as required.
-Identify prospects and cultivate relationships with new potential customers
-Respond to leads generated from marketing efforts as well as cultivating self-generated prospects
-Formulate a strategic and tactical sales approach for each large, active opportunity
-Maintain relationships with members in partnership with Account Manager
-To promote open access within given sales territory
-Provide accurate activity summaries and sales forecasts for management's review thus ensuring successful forecast management
REQUIREMENTS
-Fluent Arabic
-Experience working in sales for an academic publisher and be looking to join a forward thinking, innovative Open Access publisher.
-Be educated to degree standard.
-Good PC skills and a high level of organisation are required.
