THE COMPANY

My client is a major online retailer of electronic products. Due to ongoing expansion it now requires an experienced Online Merchandiser with German.

THE ROLE

As Online Merchandiser with German you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Website offers the best selection of products from our parent company. You will be responsible for managing 2 Categories within the website which offer thousands of products online. Your role will involve monitoring sales and inventory performance and analysis, visitor behaviour trends, content and product calendar management, stock replenishment and bi-weekly trading reporting.The role requires active optimisation of content to improve rankings on Search Engines. As an Online Merchandiser with German you will ensure that your range of products are competitively priced and adhere key objectives of the business. You will also play an active role in approving translation of new products on a regular basis.

DUTIES

-Keeping your area of the Web site up to date with relevant, smart content;
-Managing product update process
-Developing new promotional opportunities
-Keyword analysis and creation new and relevant keywords
-Product content optimisation across your area of the Website
-Evaluating traffic and sales data to improve the effectiveness of your content;
-Developing new promotional opportunities;
-Initiating and managing Web site improvement projects

-Daily and weekly sales data analysis, reporting and action plans
-Regular weekly inventory management
-Manage and execute the seasonal online product catalogue for your categories
-Deliver seasonal launches and manage changes in delivery dates, stock availability, etc
-Product range & calendar management for landing pages, special offers and emails etc
-Content enhancement, Keyword development for SEO & PPC

REQUIREMENTS

-Wholesale, retail and/or e-commerce merchandising, reporting and analysis
-Inventory management and stock control
-SAP Experience
-Good written & communication skills
-Electronics / Components industry knowledge advantageous
-MS Office
-Knowledge of web analytics and on-site search tools
